It's those moments in life, when you get that insight into someone else's life, that really makes you stop and think - there but for the grace of god go I. Perhaps I will challenge myself to do this race as part of my post-baby getting fit regime. So much better to do it for a good cause.

Well done you for doing it too. xMummy Plumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10746501465644149765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7285764348871241345.post-37994146892532931262012-10-01T18:59:57.434+01:002012-10-01T18:59:57.434+01:00I completely agree with you OM. I think that moment will stay with all who saw it for a long time, and certainly with him :-( Lynsey Summershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09026494707946270279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7285764348871241345.post-20573994977845355282012-10-01T09:02:08.799+01:002012-10-01T09:02:08.799+01:00Excellent cause Lynsey - sounds like you had an in...Excellent cause Lynsey - sounds like you had an inspiring mix of runners along side you. I don't know how old that little boy was, and I don't know who that woman was in relation to him, but I'm not sure that was the best thing to do - to shame him in that way, and guilt him like that - that could live with him for a long time which is not fair, as he wont have meant anything by it - it can take a long time for children to think out side of them selves and develop empathy - to that little boy he saw probably saw the race as a race, and one he had fantasies of winning.
