I had a gorgeous little bundle that needed me too, particularly as I was a single mum at the time. I am lucky that I am a strong person by nature and that kicked back in - with a little help!Lynsey Summershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09026494707946270279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7285764348871241345.post-22239579304703625492012-04-24T17:35:09.318+01:002012-04-24T17:35:09.318+01:00Exactly. I didn't realise until getting through the day with minimal tears and effort came back just how much energy was being spent on worrying / stressing over everyday little things that had never phased me before. My brain was just overloaded at the time. The A-D were like a little pill of patience. I had more calm within me to deal with little up's and downs in the way I always had done.Lynsey Summershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09026494707946270279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7285764348871241345.post-63628570474171945482012-04-24T17:33:01.394+01:002012-04-24T17:33:01.394+01:00Thank you for the links Emily, will go and check t...Thank you for the links Emily, will go and check them out. Depression is such a taboo subject, even now, it has taken a while to be able to write these posts, because I was still worried about what people might think! Silly. A-D are there to help people do just what they are meant to do lift you back up to the point of being able to cope. If I ever went as low as I went all those years ago, I would not hesitate in using them to help.Lynsey Summershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09026494707946270279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7285764348871241345.post-23691687941430299742012-04-24T17:30:34.732+01:002012-04-24T17:30:34.732+01:00Thank you. When I started writing them, I did so more to try and raise awareness of the day to day issues both person with the disability and their carers / immediate family face, issues that would never occur to those who are not in the situation. So many of my friends would invite us round, without thinking, we wouldn't be able to get up the stairs to their flat or just to the door type of thing. I didn't think that it would be a support to those going through those early stages, but it is and that thrills me.xLynsey Summershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09026494707946270279noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7285764348871241345.post-24715030352772476332012-04-24T15:28:19.749+01:002012-04-24T15:28:19.749+01:00Again another powerful narrative from Mother Duck ...Again another powerful narrative from Mother Duck - Really impressed with how you got back into the saddle again, and how you really looked after your self.
